Day 6 & 7: Christmas Blog Series

2016 Christmas Blog Series

Yesterday, I visited my doctor, went to the mall, wrapped gifts, and went on day 2 of anticipated simbang gabi. Today, I am blogging again. LOL. #excuses

What is one of your favorite holiday memories?

My most favorite holiday memory would have to be the one I spent with my high school barkada.

11 years ago, some of my classmates and I came together and formed a Christmas caroling group called the Ka.Mo.T.Es — a silly name we came up with while walking the streets of Ayala Alabang, laughing our asses off, after we had gone through some Kakaibang Moments Together (Eh).

I remember we started this group to come up with funds for my then-parish’s church-building project. At the end of it all, we had collected about 6000 pesos and it all went to buying materials for our expanding church. Now that I think about it, 6000 isn’t actually that much, but it was from the heart, and we got a whole lot of good, priceless memories out of it.

I tried looking back at my old blog to read about that time buuuuut apparently that account is friends-locked and I’ve already forgotten the password. Also, I was an annoying brat then (much more annoying than I am now) and reading my past blogs makes me cringe.

All I can remember, though, was that we had so much laughs. We sang nervously in front of our families and friends, ate good food, encountered stray dogs, walked the stretch of Madrigal Avenue, and prank-called some of our friends.

Here are some of the pictures Andie took back in the day. OMG terrible. LOL.

13 years of friendship and counting.

Wow, I miss my friends. Wonder how I’m going to see them again, with this bad leg of mine.

What is the best gift you’ve ever given or received? What made it so special?

I always give practical gifts. I can’t really say which one is the best. If I were to be cheesy (and a liar), I’d have to say that the best gift I have ever given is the gift of time. HAHAHA.

The best gift I’ve ever received, on the other hand… wow, there are a lot. One would be the giant Polly Pocket mansion I got back when I was 8. LOL. But I think the best gift I’ve ever received would have to be healing. From cancer. 6 Christmases ago. Thank You, Lord. You’re the best. ♥
