It has been raining for weeks here in the Philippines. The past few weeks were due to a series of typhoons that entered our country. Right now, though, no typhoon is reported within our area of responsibility (at least according to PAGASA) but the downpour since last night has been crazy, to the point that the government issued a red warning for certain areas around the metro.
Relief operations are currently in motion and here are a few ways you can help. Feel free to add more by commenting below.
DE LA SALLE ZOBEL, AYALA ALABANG, MUNTINLUPA
Calling our fellow Lasallians! DLSZ through the Social Action Office is organizing a relief collection & distribution for the flood victims of Muntinlupa. We need additional relief goods for distribution this afternoon. We request donations of rice, bottled water, canned goods, noodles, blankets, mats & usable clothes. Please drop your donations at Gate 7, DLSZ. Please contact Mr. Jayjay Jacinto at 09178597602 for queries. Thank you very much.
LA SALLE GREENHILLS, ORTIGAS AVENUE, MANDALUYONG
Relief Operations starting now at LA SALLE GREEN HILLS. Volunteers proceed to the LMO office and look for Marlo Castillo. For LSGH High School students, you would need to bring a letter from your parents stating they are allowing you to volunteer for the Relief Operations. Of course, everyone please exercise your best judgement, if your location or way to LSGH will put you at risk, then please do not take unnecessary risks.
Also please spread the word that donations are being accepted at Gate 2 of La Salle Green Hills along Ortigas Avenue.
As of now, only the following donations are being requested:
Ready to eat food (does not require cooking, and preferably in easy to open cans or pouches)
Cash donations will also be accepted but please proceed to the LMO and look for Marlo Castillo.
