This week was kind of a weak week (what) for me in terms of reading and whatever, but only because I’ve been out almost every day of the week, spending time with family and friends and watching Metro Manila Film Festival movies!!!
As I’ve mentioned in my last entry, I’ve already seen Saving Sally and Die Beautiful, which are both incredible works of art. Just the other day, they held the awards night for this year’s festival, and I was so happy to know that the two main characters of Die Beautiful, Paolo Ballesteros (as Trisha) and Christian Bables (as Barbs) had bagged the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.
Happy Christmas, fellow wanderers!
What a busy month it has been! So many social happenings! No complaints, though, as it’s the only time I get to interact with people nowadays. *cue violins* Hihi.
I’m currently at the mall waiting for time to pass until the screening of Die Beautiful, which is like, an hour away as of writing. I don’t remember ever looking this much forward to watching MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival) movies. Yes, plural. Just the other day, I watched Saving Sally with my PKFC friends and gosh was it the bomb dot com. Go watch it when you can. 🙂
Anyway, here are this month’s Happiness Inducing Things!
Happy Christmas, everybody! I hope you’re currently enjoying the holidays with your family/loved ones! 🙂
Today, I am starting a new blog series where I’m going to share my weekly pop culture picks and random reflections. This is going to replace my Sunday Soupie series from a year ago (wait, what? THAT WAS A YEAR AGO?!), and going to be kind of like a more broken down version of H.I.T.s. (Ooh, I can already see where the problem is going to be, lol.) It’s also probably always going to be posted on a Saturday, thus the change of name.
A lot of my goals for 2016 were knowledge expansion-related, but since I didn’t get to completely finish my goals this year, I’m hoping this will really push me to actually read or discover new music or whatevs. Just hoping to get back to my 2012 self creativity-wise, really. Also hoping to get some recommendations from all y’allz in the future. 😀
ANYWAY! ON TO IT!
I am posting this together on purpose just because I know this is going to be a busy weekend. Hihi. And I realized that blogging everyday is a bit taxing, wow. I said I wanted to wake up my brain cells but, wow, this is harrrrrd. HAHAHA. But I’m happy ’cause I feel like I’m finally out of that blogger’s rut. Ready to take on 2017 with better content. 🙂
Been slacking off just when this series is about to end. Wew. But yeah, I went to visit my ortho yesterday. Had an x-ray done using their cool machine that rotates 90 degrees. So instead of me sitting down on the bed thang, they just rotated it so I would be standing up instead. How awesome is that? It’s definitely the first time I’ve encountered such a thing.
Anyway, my ortho told me my bones were doing great. But when he extended my leg, it wouldn’t go full flat, meaning I had lost muscle power on my knees due to my lack of exercise. Sigh. Bad Abby. 🙁 So now I’m trying my best to regain it before my next consultation 3 weeks from now. Please pray for me.
On to the questions!
Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? Do you stick to them?
Again with these 2-in-1s. But no regrets, ’cause I got to watch Rogue One yesterday and it was brilliant!!! (This, coming from a non-Star Wars fan.) The story is supposed to take place between Episodes 3 & 4 and wow, did they link it to Episodes 3 & 4. Ah basta, watch it!!!
On to the questions! 😀
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
Do you like giving gifts or receiving?
Yesterday, I visited my doctor, went to the mall, wrapped gifts, and went on day 2 of anticipated simbang gabi. Today, I am blogging again. LOL. #excuses
