So I can’t log in to my WordPress using my site’s own login page. I don’t really know what happened, as I haven’t been consistent in checking my site. So the bugs could have come up any time during the last few automatic updates. Huhu.
But anyway, I’m glad I got to connect my site to WordPress.com. At least I still have access to my precious blog entries. So in case I need to switch web hosts, I can do so anytime.
My current host, solidhosting.ph, has not been so solid. They have become so freaking unreliable. After getting my money at the start of the year, they went back to not replying to my service/maintenance tickets. The owner is nowhere to be found, unlike back in 2012. WTH HAPPENED, YO.
Currently on the lookout for a new reliable, yet affordable, web host. Please do let me know if you have recommendations. It’s easy to read reviews off the internet but I’d rather get recommendations from actual users who are satisfied with their service. So yeah, please do let me know.
So many stuff I want to blog about, TBH. Glad to know I can do it through here. But learning curve. Wew.
Anyway. See ya.
I’m currently at a point in my life where US layovers have become my respite from the world.
It is here that I get to sleep whenever I want and no one can question why I do so because JET LAG and time difference. (But loljk, I don’t get jet lag.)
It is here that I have the luxury to not think of the responsibilities I have at home because they’re just where they are — at home — and if I’m not at home, there’s just no way I can do them.
It is here that I get a “restart” button of sorts. Sometimes, I burden myself with so many things to do (however unnecessary) and this is where I get to clear my head and reorganize my life; redo my to-do list.
It is here that I get to sit down and do things like pay my bills, edit vlogs, WRITE THIS BLOG, etc.
And, most importantly, it is here where I get to have a break from people. (This is especially true when I don’t have a roommate.) My new normal since 4 years ago has been this: offs are dedicated to church and social activities, while layovers are spent relaxing. The past few weekends (since March) have been filled with social activities. The coming weekend is no different. And so today, I have chosen to go into hiding. I went to the mall this morning, but that was that. I haven’t even gone out for dinner. I’m thankful the new hotel we’re at supports introverts like me. It’s beside every establishment you would ever want to go to — Starbucks, In N Out, Ralph’s, Walgreens, Chipotle, etc. Just buy what you need and you never have to leave ever again. LOL. (Would be better if they had room service, though.)
I have less than 24 hours left here in LA. Gotta make the most out of it before I have to face people again. Haha. Why am I such an introvert.
It has been a good first week of 2017!
So far, I’ve stuck to two of the year’s goals which I remember most: 1) read a chapter of a book each day and 2) write one (or two, or ten) thing(s) I’m thankful for each day on my planner (para naman may use na siya this year).
I’m still currently reading Robert Galbraith’s The Silkworm. I don’t know why I put this off for so long, because the book is totally interesting! I guess the size and heaviness of the book just makes it difficult to lug around everywhere I go. (This is what I get for not having the patience to wait for the Philippine paperback edition.)
Anyway, for episode #003 of Window Seat Weekly…

This week was kind of a weak week (what) for me in terms of reading and whatever, but only because I’ve been out almost every day of the week, spending time with family and friends and watching Metro Manila Film Festival movies!!!
As I’ve mentioned in my last entry, I’ve already seen Saving Sally and Die Beautiful, which are both incredible works of art. Just the other day, they held the awards night for this year’s festival, and I was so happy to know that the two main characters of Die Beautiful, Paolo Ballesteros (as Trisha) and Christian Bables (as Barbs) had bagged the Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor, respectively.

I am posting this together on purpose just because I know this is going to be a busy weekend. Hihi. And I realized that blogging everyday is a bit taxing, wow. I said I wanted to wake up my brain cells but, wow, this is harrrrrd. HAHAHA. But I’m happy ’cause I feel like I’m finally out of that blogger’s rut. Ready to take on 2017 with better content. 🙂

Been slacking off just when this series is about to end. Wew. But yeah, I went to visit my ortho yesterday. Had an x-ray done using their cool machine that rotates 90 degrees. So instead of me sitting down on the bed thang, they just rotated it so I would be standing up instead. How awesome is that? It’s definitely the first time I’ve encountered such a thing.
Anyway, my ortho told me my bones were doing great. But when he extended my leg, it wouldn’t go full flat, meaning I had lost muscle power on my knees due to my lack of exercise. Sigh. Bad Abby. 🙁 So now I’m trying my best to regain it before my next consultation 3 weeks from now. Please pray for me.
On to the questions!

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Again with these 2-in-1s. But no regrets, ’cause I got to watch Rogue One yesterday and it was brilliant!!! (This, coming from a non-Star Wars fan.) The story is supposed to take place between Episodes 3 & 4 and wow, did they link it to Episodes 3 & 4. Ah basta, watch it!!!
On to the questions! 😀
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
